History of Li-Ning
In 1989, Li Ning started to prepare the design of Li-Ning, and in April of the same year, he officially registered the trademark of “Li-Ning Brand”.
In 1991, Li-Ning Company started to operate Li-Ning brand sportswear and sports shoes.
In 1995, Li-Ning participated in the “China Sporting Goods Expo” in Tianjin, and the order volume accounted for half of the total turnover, becoming the leader in the Chinese sporting goods industry.
In 1997, Li-Ning established its own distribution network in the country.
In March 1998, Li-Ning took the lead in building the first sportswear and shoes design and development center in Foshan, Guangdong.
In 2001, Li-Ning signed contracts with famous Italian and French designers, and the product design embarked on the road of professionalism and internationalization.
In 2002, Li-Ning established a new brand positioning: Li-Ning, anything is possible.
In February 2004, the first Li-Ning brand professional soccer shoes “Tie” was launched.
In January 2006, Li-Ning signed a contract with Damon Jones, the famous guard of NBA Cleveland Cavaliers. Damon Jones signed a contract, Damon Jones will wear Li-Ning boots. Li- Ning became the first Chinese sports brand to appear on the NBA court.
In March 2006, Li-Ning 001 Limited Collector’s Edition was launched. This was the first time a Chinese sports brand released a limited edition sneaker.
On September 5, 2006, Li-Ning launched a professional technology platform for shoes – “Li-Ning Bow” shock absorption technology.
In August 2008, Li Ning lit the main torch at the opening ceremony of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, which attracted worldwide attention, and his flying performance of circling the field in the air shocked the world, leaving a heavy mark in the history of the Olympic opening ceremony.
On October 26, 2019, the company was awarded the title of “China Outstanding Contribution Enterprise” by 70 enterprises and 70 people in 70 years.

In 2020, the company was awarded the TOP 10 in the “Home Fitness Equipment Brand Ranking” released by iiMedia Ranking.
