Founded in 1921 and headquartered in the West Coast New Area of Qingdao, Double Star Group is the only state-owned main board listed company in the tire industry in Shandong Province.

About the Group

Before 2008, Doublestar’s main business was mainly shoes and garments, and after the complete restructuring of the shoes and garments industry in 2008, Doublestar was separated from the Group and switched to the tire industry. In this way, we have fostered three new industries: intelligent equipment, industrial robots (including intelligent logistics) and recycling of waste rubber and plastics. Building an “R&D 4.0” + “Industry 4.0” + “Service 4.0” industrial internet ecosystem, Shuangxing has become the only enterprise among all Chinese enterprises to be awarded by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology as a national pilot demonstration enterprise for the whole industrial chain, and has been called “the leader of intelligent manufacturing of tires in China” in the past five years.

In 2018, Doublestar Holdings was ranked among the world’s top 10 Korean Kumho tires, and the Doublestar tire brand was ranked top of the “Top 500 Asian Brands” Chinese tires list for six consecutive years.

On January 16, 2020, Doublestar started a new journey of “three ventures”, focusing on the three industries of rubber tires, artificial intelligence and high-end equipment, recycling and new materials, and implementing the “three wisdoms and new” strategy of smart ecology, smart tires, smart equipment and new environmental protection materials, so as to build Doublestar into a world-class enterprise with technology, era and intelligence as soon as possible.

Major Honours

In June 2016, Doublestar was awarded as “Quality Benchmark” by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China.

In October 2016, Doublestar was awarded as “National Technology Innovation Demonstration Enterprise” by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China.

In September 2017, Doublestar Group was selected as one of the first national service-oriented manufacturing demonstration projects.

In April 2019, Doublestar Group was listed as a high-end brand cultivation enterprise in Shandong Province manufacturing industry.

In April 2020, Doublestar Group was awarded “National Quality Inspection and Stable Qualified Products” and “National Quality and Service Integrity Demonstration Enterprise”.

Since 2015, Doublestar has been ranked the top of the “Top 500 Asian Brands” for Chinese tires for six consecutive years, with a brand value of RMB 57.698 billion.
